Mathematical Sciences Department

From basic tasks like keeping track of your finances to the complex formulas and equations that go into coding the apps and computer programs we use every day, mathematical sciences have a huge impact on our lives.

Lincoln University's Mathematical Sciences Department is committed to providing you with an in-depth overview and understanding of a wide range of mathematics topics and disciplines. As part of a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) curriculum, you'll learn about different mathematics disciplines and theories. You'll develop essential quantitative reasoning and analytical skills, mastering the ability to solve high-level mathematical equations as well as more practical applications like pattern recognition and general problem-solving.

We offer Bachelor of Science (BS) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees in Mathematics, or a minor. You can choose from one of three specialized tracks, depending on your area of interest and ultimate career goals: General Mathematics, Actuarial Science, and Computational Mathematics. Our program is accredited by the National Association for Development Education (NADE) and taught by an expert faculty, the majority of whom have achieved doctoral-level degrees in their fields.

You can learn more about our programs and the classes we offer in the current academic year course catalog.

After graduating from our program, you'll be well-prepared to pursue further study or take on a variety of jobs in the mathematics and math-related fields, including architecture, chemistry, physics, engineering, accounting, coding, and many more.
